Microsoft services at Sthenos help enterprises design, implement and scale Microsoft solutions across cloud infrastructure, data platforms, application modernization and intelligent automation: Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft 365 and Teams, and Copilot. This section maps those products by layer, defines them at Microsoft's own documentation, and sets out how an engagement runs, what it produces, what it costs and what to ask any Microsoft consultancy, us included.
The nine in the ecosystem section above, plus Microsoft 365 and Teams from the service cards.
A clear, risk-aware Microsoft transformation roadmap aligned to business priorities.
Depending on the seniority and mix of the team, published sitewide.
Before quoting a custom CRM we price configuring Dynamics, and we do not resell the licence.

Microsoft Azure consulting services and the wider Microsoft stack
The Microsoft products this page names sit in four layers, from the workplace tools people use every day down to the cloud platform underneath, with security running through all of them.
Figure 1. The Microsoft products on this page, by layer
Every box is a product named in this page's own words. The layering is for reading; nothing in the figure is counted or measured.
The Azure layer is described service by service on our Azure services page, analytics on our big data and analytics page, Dynamics on our CRM and ERP pages, and copilots and models on our artificial intelligence and machine learning page.
The Microsoft terms, defined at Microsoft
Four of the product names on this page are easier to buy once they are defined at the source. Each definition below is Microsoft's own, linked so you can read it rather than take ours.
Microsoft also notes that Fabric "is delivered as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform and uses OneLake as a centralized, logical data lake for storing and accessing data across all workloads" (Microsoft Learn).
How a Microsoft engagement runs
We schedule a call at your convenience, run a short, bounded discovery scoped per engagement, and give you a costed roadmap before committing to a build. The services on this page then cover the whole path, from the first assessment to ongoing optimization.

Configure Dynamics 365 or build a custom CRM: which suits
Our CRM page answers this one plainly: configure a platform unless your sales process is genuinely unusual or per-seat licensing costs more than the build would.
Configure or build
Configure Dynamics 365
Right for most organisations- Implement and extend Dynamics 365 to unify CRM and ERP operations
- We price configuring Dynamics before quoting a build
- We do not resell the licence
Build a custom CRM
Right when per-seat licensing costs more than the build- A custom CRM generally runs $60,000 to $250,000
- Depending on how many teams use it and how many systems it integrates with
- Worth costing when the sales process is genuinely unusual
What Microsoft work costs, and what moves the number
Four bands published on this site bear on the cost of Microsoft work, and Figure 2 draws them on one scale.
Figure 2. The published bands, on one scale
Bar widths are proportional to the published figures. Sources: our cloud consulting, big data and analytics, CRM and ERP pages. None of them is a quote for your organisation.
What ERP and CRM work costs, against a custom build
For Microsoft Dynamics 365 work, the bands this site publishes are the general ones for ERP and CRM. Mid-market ERP implementations typically run $75,000 to $400,000, depending on module count and how much finance and operations data has to be migrated, as our ERP page publishes. A custom CRM generally runs $60,000 to $250,000. Before quoting a build we will price configuring Salesforce or Dynamics instead, because for most organisations that is the cheaper answer, and we do not resell either licence.
Figure 3. The published rate band
Source: the rate published sitewide and on our about us page, depending on the seniority and mix of the team. A typical project runs $50,000 to $200,000.
What you get from a Microsoft engagement
Each item below is a service this page names, stated as what lands at the end of it, plus the ownership position we publish on our custom software page.

What to ask before you hire a Microsoft consultancy
These questions work on us and on everyone else you are considering.
- Will you price configuring Dynamics 365 before quoting a custom build? For most organisations configuring a platform is the cheaper answer.
- Do you resell the licences you recommend? If the answer is yes, ask how the margin is disclosed and whether the recommendation would change without it.
- Whose name is on the cloud account and the repository? Anything other than yours is a dependency you did not agree to.
- How will Power Platform apps be governed? The Power Platform card on this page promises faster delivery while maintaining governance and enterprise controls, so ask how those controls are enforced.
- Which certifications do you hold, and which are your partner's? Audited and self declared are different claims, and so are a firm's own certifications and its partner's.
- What is your own attestation status? Ask for the report rather than accepting a logo. We will tell you plainly that we hold none.
- Who operates this after go live, and under what terms? A design nobody can run is not finished.
Frequently asked questions
What do your Microsoft services cover?
Azure Cloud, Azure OpenAI Service, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio, Azure DevOps and Kubernetes Services, the Microsoft security stack and Azure VMware, from the first assessment to managed services.
Should we configure Dynamics 365 or build a custom CRM?
Configure a platform unless your sales process is genuinely unusual or per-seat licensing costs more than the build would. If you are paying for seats people barely use while maintaining workarounds, a build is worth costing.
Do you resell Dynamics 365 licences?
No. Before quoting a custom CRM build we price configuring Salesforce or Dynamics instead, because for most organisations that is the cheaper answer, and we do not resell either licence.
What is Microsoft Fabric?
Microsoft defines it as an analytics platform that supports end-to-end data workflows, including data ingestion, transformation, real-time stream processing, analytics and reporting, delivered as a SaaS platform with OneLake as its data lake.
Who owns the code and the cloud accounts?
You do. The repository and the cloud accounts are in your name, with no licence back to us and no dependency on us continuing to exist.
